Foreing language collections of Ataturk library have reached to approximately 24.000 and with this number Ataturk Library became a prominent library in Turkey. Besides IMM Ataturk Library contains 17th,18th, and 19th centuries rare works of Turkish, Islam, Ottoman, Byzantium and Roma Eras. In recent years Directoriate of Libraries and Museums has bought foreing laguage collections, that circumstances made our library more popular. Particularly works that related Istanbul are important for Istanbul research specialists.
