The Atatürk Library Book Collection contains 44,132 books that have been transferred to digital media. Within is are books in a multitude of different languages such as English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, French, and Arabic. The collection is able to make you feel like you are traveling in time with city narratives, museum guides, and travel journals.

The works cover a variety of subjects and forms.

For example the book entitled “İstanbul’da 1 Sene Beşinci Ay Meyhane Yahud İstanbul Akşamcıları” touches on social life, whilst the book entitled "Ayine-i Devran", and the book of Turkish Ottoman poetry entitled "Ümid ve azm sekiz konferans"; cover social change in the Ottoman Empire. There are travel books in different languages; country histories; booklets; ambassadors’ books of their impressions, embassies; collected poems, commentaries, bibliographies, dictionaries, cartoon albums, musical notes; textbooks on history, chemistry, medicine, law; novels in different languages; laws and regulations both in the Ottoman and current period.

The books published by the Directorate of Libraries and Museums have also been transferred to digital media. These include the 3 volumes of pre-World-War 1 Istanbul maps known as the “German Blues”, sections from Turkish librarianship, the alphabetical catalog of the Atatürk Library's special collections, and Havadis publications.
