The Mecidiyeköy Lending Library opened on October 21st, 2021, and was the in the IMM’s project to establish Lending Libraries and book stations.
Our library is a part of the transformation of Mecidiyeköy Square, one of the busiest urban spaces of Istanbul, into a culture and art area. It facilitates the access of Istanbul residents to books, hosting a collection of 3,000 books consisting of publications from qualified publishing houses in the fields of literature, art, history, cultural heritage, and research.
With the IMM’s newly developed application, readers will be able to reserve the book they want and order to the specific Lending Library location where they want to pick it up. They will be able to return the borrowed books to any IMM library or Lending Library stations. The IMM Lending Libraries, give Istanbul residents the ability to easily access the books they request from anywhere.
