Located in the Hırka-i Şerif Neighborhood of Istanbul's Fatih district, the Ahmet Kabaklı Library has been serving the public since 2011. The library holds the private collection of writer Ahmet Kabaklı, consisting of 16,695 works, and offers a total of 35,050 materials.
Covering a 600-square-meter area with a seating capacity for 160 users (updated below to match the latest figures: 954 m² and 215 users), the library’s collection includes books on history, literature, political science, philosophy, research and analysis, art, information technologies, science, religion, personal development, cultural heritage, architecture and design, as well as children’s books and periodicals.
Situated in a central location in Fatih, the Ahmet Kabaklı Library hosts a wide range of activities and events for children, youth, and adults—just like other libraries under the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB). With its Public and Children’s sections, the library also serves as a valuable study space for local students.
