Located in the Merkez Neighborhood of Istanbul’s Eyüpsultan district, the Eyüpsultan Library has been serving the public since 1999. With a collection of 20,212 works covering a wide range of fields from history to literature, political science to philosophy, and architecture to cultural heritage, the library warmly welcomes its readers.
The library operates in a 390-square-meter space with a capacity of 44 people. It facilitates access to books for the local community and meets the study needs of students from numerous nearby schools.
All local residents can benefit from the lending services of all libraries affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of City History and Promotion Libraries and Museums Branch, especially the Eyüpsultan Library.
Readers wishing to become members can quickly register and access services through the İBB Library Mini application available on the Istanbul Senin mobile app.
For membership via e-Government, visit turkiye.gov.tr, search for "İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kütüphane," and click the "Municipality Libraries Membership Information Inquiry and Membership Application" link that appears. Fill in the required information on the new membership page and complete the process by clicking the 'Apply' button. Members can access all İBB library services by logging in with the passwords sent via SMS and email.
Applicants should also visit our libraries with an official valid ID such as a Turkish Republic ID card, driver’s license, or passport.
