The İdris Güllüce Library opened in the Tuzla district of Istanbul in 2006. The library is named after the politician İdris Güllüce who served three terms as Tuzla Municipality Mayor and minister. The library has a capacity of 140 people in a large area of 814 square meters.
The library's rich collection of 39,733 works includes many genres of books such as History, literature, political science, philosophy, research and review, art, informatics, technology, science, religion, self-improvement, cultural heritage, architecture and design books, children's books, and periodicals.
In line with the IMM’s goal of creating next generation libraries, the İdris Güllüce Library hosts various workshops from creative drama to fairy tales, philosophy to caricature, and panel conversations.
İdris Güllüce Kütüphanesi'nin yanı sıra İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kültür Varlıkları Dairesi Başkanlığı Kütüphaneler ve Müzeler Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı tüm kütüphanelerin ödünç verme hizmetlerinden bölge sakinleri yararlanabiliyor. Üye olmak isteyen okuyucularımızın TC kimlik kartı, ehliyet, pasaport gibi resmi geçerliliği olan bir kimlik belgesi ile kütüphanelerimize başvurmaları gerekmektedir.
