As Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, we opened the second library in Esenyurt within a year, serving readers since October 27, 2022, in the Sultaniye neighborhood.
Our library, located in Esenyurt on a 710 square meter area with a capacity of 150 people, brings a fresh breath to the region.
Named after İsmail Hakkı Tonguç, who dedicated his life to the development of Anatolia and made great efforts for village institutes, raising thousands of people, our library hosts a collection of 17,090 works.
In addition to talks and events aimed at all ages, the library also hosts educational and instructive workshops for children of different age groups.
All residents of the area can benefit from the borrowing services of İsmail Hakkı Tonguç Library as well as all libraries affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Department of City History and Promotion, Libraries and Museums Branch Directorate.
