Named after the renowned essayist Rasim Özdenören, the Rasim Özdenören Library opened in Başakşehir in 2012. With a 400-square-meter area and a capacity to host 195 people, the library features an extensive and diverse collection.
Our library’s collection consists of 22,000 books, covering a broad range of subjects including history, literature, political science, philosophy, research, art, informatics, technology, science, religion, personal development, cultural heritage, architecture and design, children’s books, and periodicals.
The library addresses the need for study spaces among young people in Başakşehir and supports both youth and children with a variety of programs. Activities include supportive workshops for children—from storytelling and creative drama to philosophy and cartooning—as well as various seminars and talks for adults.
