Established under the İBB Atatürk Library in 1997 as the "Library for the Visually Impaired," the library was relocated and reopened in Eyüp in 2007 under the name "İBB Audio Library" (Sesli Kütüphane).
Reflecting the principle of equal citizenship and a commitment to providing accessible services to all Istanbul residents, our library houses 7,000 audio publications and 500 books published in Braille. The Audio Library operates in a 455 m² area with a capacity of 51 people.
Visually impaired readers who wish to become members can easily sign up and access our services through the İBB Library Mini application in the İstanbul Senin mobile app.
