The Art Lighthouses were transformed into community spaces and exhibition galleries after the restoration and re-functioning works carried out by IMM Heritage, following the universal conservation principles and techniques. Their restoration is part of a wider project to regenerate the area into a ‘cultural valley’ of Istanbul, starting from Cibalikapı and extending to the Sveti Stefan Church, creating a ‘culture and art bridge’ connecting the two oldest sides of the city through art.

In the Lighthouses historic buildings meet contemporary art. The towers serve as space-specific galleries, each featuring a different artist, as part of the Istanbul Art Museum, which will be opened in the Golden Horn Shipyard on the opposite shore.
